Flinders University Parallel Rural Community Curriculum (PRCC)

These students (HMF PRCC, 2007) appreciate the opportunity for plenty of hands-on experience in General Practice clinics and in the local hospitals. Here they are being introduced to the gowning and gloving required for their learning experiences in the operating theatre.


Matthew Little (Riverland PRCC, 2005) works in the operating theatre under the supervision of surgeon Mr Arnold Seglenieks. This type of practical one-on-one tuition is a key feature of the PRCC program.

 


Primary Health Care (2005): PRCC sub-quota students worked with visiting Thai medical students in the Pitstop project at the Riverland Field Days. This Men's Health initiative was a joint project of the Riverland Regional Health Service and the PRCC program.
